Federal Capture Specialist

Role Summary

One of the hottest cyber startups of the decade is looking for someone who can help steer their federal growth efforts by blending opportunity assessment, proposal planning, and strategic positioning. This role focuses on shaping winning approaches for government AI and cybersecurity work while coordinating closely with technical and go-to-market teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive capture tasks and oversee proposal creation for federal bids and renewals.
• Work with engineering, AI, cybersecurity, and GTM leaders to define messaging and solution strategy.
• Produce compliant responses to government solicitations involving technical capabilities.
• Organize proposal timelines, structures, templates, and review checkpoints.
• Translate expert technical input into clear, compelling material.
• Maintain internal proposal resources and streamline processes.
• Track market shifts, competitors, and federal tech priorities to guide strategy.
• Analyze bid outcomes and refine capture methods over time.
• Improve efficiency through coordinated opportunity insights and tooling upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in IT, cybersecurity, business, or similar.
• 1–3 years in federal contracting or a tech/AI/cyber environment.
• Familiar with procurement rules, RFP formats, and compliance expectations.
• Strong written communication with the ability to clarify complex tech topics.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of government-focused AI and cybersecurity concepts.
• Comfortable using proposal tools and automation.
• Collaborative mindset suited to a fast, mission-driven setting.
