THE
PROBLEM
The skillset needed and the geographic location of the team meant there was a smaller talent pool of candidates compared to a larger city in the UK as well as completely mapping the US city. The roles ranged from C level through to mid-manager and niche technical specialists, meaning our long and shortlists had to be unique to each skill set, experience, and personality.
THE
SOLUTION
In order to tackle a large number of hires, we used our cyber expertise to divide the individual roles into skillset and experience ‘Venn Diagram’ style. Doing this first stage allowed us to identify which skillset and experience overlapped for each role. This not only gave us larger talent pool opportunities but also allowed us to recognise anomalies in current market mapping techniques and improve on them for this search.
All candidates were passively headhunted and sent extra tailored information about the role and the business which were designed and written by our marketing team in-house.
Once our talent pools were shortlisted, we used our emerging technology platforms which include video interview software to compile a ‘candidate pack’ for each candidate represented. Liaising with the Head of Talent to pinpoint personality traits, strengths and weaknesses that are to be prompted in the interview.
Alongside our technical approach, our experts attended/held networking events in order to generate interest, referrals and identify trends in skillsets that could be cross-trained across the cyber team.
THE
RESULTS
We successfully filled roles at Senior Director/Leadership level, Manager, and unique skilled specialists across key areas of cyber security inc. Security Engineering, Security Strategy and Awareness, Customer Assurance, Governance Risk and Compliance, Security Operations and Security Architecture.
This allowed their brand redevelopment to thrive with a strong cyber team backing them.
The global finance software and risk solutions business still retain us as they further invest in cyber security. Currently working in areas such as IAM Engineering, Threat Intelligence and Security Operations (SIEM).
